About Curry Bowl

The moment the doors open to Curry Bowl, the lively yet cozy ambiance becomes apparent, revealing a carefully curated space that mixes modern minimalism with subtle ethnic touches. There is a sense of warmth conveyed by the dim lighting and the gentle hum of conversations, which complements the aromas wafting from the kitchen. Although the dining area is compact, it manages to avoid feeling cramped, allowing patrons to enjoy a relaxed meal without distraction. Occasional glimpses at the photographs associated with the restaurant suggest an emphasis on colorful presentation, which aligns well with the vibrant dishes served.

Exploring the various offerings on the Curry Bowl menu, it becomes clear that the kitchen prioritizes authenticity while weaving subtle local influences into traditional curry preparations. Dishes display a harmonious balance between rich spices and fresh ingredients, notably in a signature chicken curry paired with fragrant basmati rice. The options cater well to different palates, including vegetarian choices that maintain the same depth of flavor. Feedback shared in several reviews often highlights the consistent quality of the food, though some have noted that portion sizes tend to be modest, which might not satisfy those expecting more generous servings. The staff navigate the space with attentiveness, answering inquiries about spice levels or ingredient origins without hesitation, though occasional moments of delay occur during peak hours.

Attention to detail resonates beyond the food, extending to the overall dining experience. The subtle integration of natural light through street-facing windows lends a casual daytime charm, contrasting with an evening mood that invites slower conversation and savoring of meals. The price point reflects a mid-range positioning, with a level of value that aligns with the quality and ambiance but may tilt toward the higher side in comparison with other local establishments. Those exploring images of the restaurant and its dishes online will notice a consistency that stands up to actual visits, reinforcing a reliable choice for guests who appreciate carefully executed ethnic cuisine in an urban setting.

A really nice little restaurant in Milan. Food is really really good. They have two menu options. One for Non-Sri Lankans (not spicy) and one for Sri Lankans (spicy). We found a taste closer to home. Owner and the staff is welcoming and friendly.

It’s currently open for delivery and take away. Great place to explore Sri Lankan cuisine made by a very kind Sri Lankan chef. Do ask for chef’s recommendations when ordering.
